This tutorial is a personal creation.

I work with PSP20 Ultimate
but you can follow this tutorial with any other version of PSP

Supplies
you can download the supplies on Laurette’s original tutorial (click on the blue square with the word « MATERIEL »)
or HERE

Place the supplies and selections into the dedicated folders of  « Corel PSP » general folder

save your work often in case of problems with your psp
don’t hesitate to change blend modes and opacities of the layers to match your personal colors and tubes

Hints and Tips
TIP 1 -> if you don’t want to install a font -->
open it in a software as « Nexus Font » (or other font viewer software of you choice)
as long as both windows are opened (software and font), your font will be available in your PSP
TIP 2 -> from PSPX4, in the later versions of PSP the functions « Mirror » and « Flip » have been replaced by -->
« Mirror »has become  --> image => mirror => mirror horizontal
« Flip » has become  --> image => mirror => mirror vertical

colors

set FG to color 1 and BG to color 2 in materials palette

duplicate the tubes, close the originals and work with the copy
open a new image => transparent =>  900 * 600 px
selections => select all
copy / paste « fond » into selection
selections => select none
effects => image effects => seamless tiling => default settings
adjust => blur => gaussian blur => 30
layers => duplicate
effects => plugins => Unlimited 2 => Alf’s Power Grads / Square Grads / default settings

blend mode of the layer : Screen
layers => merge => merge down

effects => artistic effects => Topography / color 1

adjust => sharpness => sharpen
effects => plugins => AAA Frames => Foto Frame

copy / paste « decoration 2 » as new layer
don’t move it
effects => 3D effects => drop shadow => 2 / 2 / 100 / 2 / black

enable the Magic Wand tool
click in the middle of Raster 2 to select
layers => new raster layer
copy / paste the landscape into selection
layers => duplicate
layers => merge => merge down
effects => 3D effects => drop shadow => 0 / 0 / 60 / 40 / color 1
selections => select none

close the eye of bottom layer
layers => merge => merge visible
image => resize => untick « resize all layers » => 85%
open the eye of bottom layer and highlight this layer
effects => plugins => L en K’s => Palmyre / default settings

highlight top layer
effects => 3D effects => drop shadow => 5 / 5 / 80 / 40 / black

selections => modify => contract => 20 px
effects => 3D effects => drop shadow => 5 / 5 / 80 / 40 / black

image => add borders => tick « symmetric » => 40 px white
selections => invert

don’t move it
effects => 3D effects => drop shadow => 0 / 0 / 60 / 40 / color 1 => tick  « shadow on new layer »

blend mode of the layer : Multiply
image => add borders => tick « symmetric » => 1 px color 1
edit => COPY

selections => select all
image => add borders => tick « symmetric » => 50 px white
selections => invert
edit => paste into selection
adjust => blur => gaussian blur => 30
selections => promote selection to layer
blend mode of the layer : Multiply
effects => plugins => AAA Frames => Foto Frame

layers => merge => merge visible

copy / paste the character tube as new layer
don’t forget to erase the watermark
place properly

copy / paste « Word-Enchanted » tube as new layer
place properly
effects => 3D effects => drop shadow => 1 / 1 / 60 / 0 / black

apply your watermark or signature
write your licence number if you used a licenced tube
image => add borders => tick « symmetric » => 1 px black
resize to 950 px width, save as... type .jpeg
