Supplies
you can download the supplies on Alyciane’s original tutorial

then click on the little parrot
Place the supplies and selections into the dedicated folders of « Corel PSP » general folder
open the mask and minimize to tray
save your work often in case of problems with your psp
don’t hesitate to change blend modes and opacities of the layers to match your personal colors and tubes
HINTS and TIPS
TIP 1 -> if you don’t want to install a font -->
open it in a software as « Nexus Font » (or other font viewer software of you choice)
as long as both windows are opened (software and font), your font will be available in your PSP
TIP 2 -> from PSPX4, in the later versions of PSP the functions « Mirror » and « Flip » have been replaced by -->
« Mirror »has become --> image => mirror => mirror horizontal
« Flip » has become --> image => mirror => mirror vertical

set FG to color 1 and BG to color 2 in the materials palette
Instructions
open a new image => transparent => 1000 * 600 px
selections => select all
copy / paste the landscape (paysage) image into selection
selections => select none
effects => image effects => seamless tiling => default settings
adjust => blur => gaussian blur => 40
effects => plugins => Alien Skin => Snap Art => Oil Paint / preset => brush, small and short strokes
effects => edge effects => enhance
layers => new raster layer
flood fill with color 2
layers => new mask layer => from image
layers => merge => merge groupenable the Pick tool with the following settings, to move the layer acurately => position X : -23 / position Y : -14
hit the M key to disable the tool
adjust => sharpness => sharpen
effects => 3D effects => drop shadow => 2 / 2 / 80 / 10 / black
copy / paste the Misted landscape as new layer
image => resize => untick « resize all layers » => 70%
layers => arrange => place under the mask layer
highlight top layer
copy / paste the misted « herbe » tube as new layer
objects => align => bottom
copy / paste the cats and mice and birds tubes as new layer
place properly (see final result)
mice tubes must be arranged under the grass layer
layers => merge => merge visible
image => add borders => tick « symmetric » => 2 px color 2
image => add borders => tick « symmetric » => 40 px color 1
image => add borders => tick « symmetric » => 2 px color 2
select the 40 px border with the Magic Wand tool
effects => artistic effects => Halftone → apply twice with the following settings
selections => select none
copy / paste the border tube as new layer
don’t move it
apply your watermark or signature
write your licence number if you used a licenced tube

if you don’t want to animate your tag => layers => merge => merge all (flatten)
save your work as... type .jpeg
ANIMATION
Starting from * * *
Select the border layer => duplicate it twice to create 3 border layers
rename these three layers « border 1 » « border 2 » « border 3 » from bottom to top
close the eyes of « border 1 » and « border 2 »
highlight « border 3 » (eye of the layer is opened)
effects => plugins => Alien Skin => Xenofex 2 / Constellation
close the eyes of « border 1 » and « border 3 »
highlight « border 2 » (eye of the layer is opened)
effects => plugins => Alien Skin => Xenofex 2 / Constellation => ...
don’t change the settings, but click on « Random Seed » at the bottom
close the eyes of « border 2 » and « border 3 »
highlight « border 1 » (eye of the layer is opened)
effects => plugins => Alien Skin => Xenofex 2 / Constellation => ...
don’t change the settings, but click on « Random Seed » at the bottom
open the eyes of the 3 borders layers and close the eye of bottom layer (your tag)
save your work as => PSP Animation Shop (*.psp)
open Animation Shop
open your border Animation as new animation
Ctrl + A
back into PSP
open the eye of bottom layer and highlight it
edit => copy
back into Animation Shop
edit => paste as new animation, and duplicate twice (you have now 3 images in this « tag animation »)
Ctrl + A
enable the border animation => edit => copy
RIGHT click inside the first image of your « tag animation »
paste => into selected frame
the border animation seems to be suspended at the tip of your cursor…
find the right spot and click the left mouse button to place it
view your animation to make sure evrything is OK
animation => image properties => 10 is the default value
If you want to increase or decrease the speed, simply change this value
the higher the number, the slower the speed will be, and vice versa
when you are satisfied, save your work as... type .gif

enable the border animation => edit => copy
RIGHT click inside the first image of your « tag animation »
paste => into selected frame
